Job Summary

Help us build our growing business. We serve hundreds of millions of searches from our domain portfolio of nearly a million websites, and we're acquiring thousands more every day. You will be assisting our business users to make revenue impacting decisions by providing data through web interfaces as well as ad hoc and scheduled reports that analyze our clickstream and revenue data.

Essential Duties and Responsiblities

We are looking for a Sr. sql server developer with a strong data warehousing background who can quickly come up to speed on our business and data. This individual will work with business analysts and software engineers to pull data from our production OLTP server as well as disparate sources via various means (FTP, HTTP, SMB, web service, etc.) to feed our reporting databases and optimization engines. Responsibilities will include the design and creation of sophisticated data schemas and well optimized queries and stored procedures to facilitate well performing reports and data feeds.

You will be working in a clustered, SAN supported, 64 bit, sql server 2005 environment, leveraging SSIS, SSRS and potentially SSAS technologies. This position reports directly to the VP of Technology and works with our DBA and a team of .NET software engineers.

Required Skills

• Strong SQL skills including excellent query optimization skills and a deep knowledge of query plans
• Experience working with and summarizing large data sets
• Familiarity writing complex stored procedures
• Highly fluent in SSIS and SSRS technologies on SQL Server 2005 and their best practices
• C#, VB.Net and/or ASP.NET skills also helpful
• 5+ Years experience working with SQL Server
